The Role
Our client, Al Qadsiah Club, is on an ambitious journey to develop a world-leading multi-sports function in Saudi Arabia. With a clear focus on achieving Olympic medal success in 2028 and 2032, they are seeking a high-performance leader to drive athlete development and maximize the potential of Saudi Arabia’s most talented sports stars.
As a key member of the Al Qadsiah Multi-Sport Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Performance Support will lead an established team of practitioners, delivering elite performance support to athletes and coaches. The role includes direct responsibility for managing approximately 30 full-time performance staff across five targeted sports.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and strategic direction for performance support services across the Al Qadsiah Olympic Champion Project (2028 focus) and Emerging Sports Program (Brisbane 2032 focus).

Line manage and develop a high-performing team of sport science and medical practitioners to enhance athlete preparation and success.

Work closely with Athlete Performance Managers and Coaches to refine performance strategies and deepen understanding of the key attributes required for medal success.

Conduct technical planning meetings with sport science and medical teams to align support services with individual sport plans.

Deliver real-time feedback to leadership, coaching, and performance teams on operational delivery and its impact on athletes and programs.

Ensure best practices and knowledge-sharing across Al Qadsiah’s Olympic and Emerging Sport programs.

Uphold the highest standards of sports science and medical ethics, ensuring athlete health and welfare remain the top priority.
Knowledge & Experience

A comprehensive understanding of the medical and scientific support requirements for elite athletes.

Proven experience in strategic planning and the delivery of performance objectives in a high-performance sports environment.

Expertise in researching, monitoring, and evaluating performance protocols in elite sport.

In-depth knowledge of Olympic/Paralympic performance systems and high-performance sports environments.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of specialists and practitioners.
Education & Qualifications

A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in Sport Science, Medicine, Coaching, or a related field.

Ways of Working
This is a full-time role based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, with frequent travel (including overseas). The role may require weekend and evening work.
