Sporting Jobs are currently working with a professional club who are looking for an experienced sports medicine professional to come on board and manage the clubs medical department. The club are also regulars in European competitions.
Responsibilities
- To have direct responsibility for a 1st team Physiotherapist and a number of Academy Physiotherapists.
- Oversee the day to day player medical care of all first team squad players with supporting medical staff.
- Ensure all injured players are receiving the highest standard of treatment and rehabilitation.
- Undertake annual assessment of the performance of the medical department.
- To ensure appropriate medical/Physiotherapy cover at all first team, development squad and academy training sessions and matches.
- Alongside club doctors arrange and undertake appropriate examinations for both senior and academy players. This includes pre-signing medicals and annual health checks such as blood tests and cardiovascular screening.
Extensive experience working in football and experience managing a department are absolutely essential requirements for this role.
