Sporting Jobs are recruiting on behalf of a leading football club in the South East of the UK for the role of Head of Academy Medical. Our client is looking for an experienced sports medicine professional to lead the medical team within their academy, ensuring the highest standards of player care and injury prevention.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the medical department, overseeing injury rehabilitation, and implementing injury prevention programs. You will work closely with coaching staff, sports scientists, and physiotherapists to ensure the health and well-being of academy players.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the medical team and overseeing all medical operations within the academy
- Developing and implementing injury prevention and rehabilitation programs
- Collaborating with coaching staff and sports scientists on player development
- Managing medical records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Providing medical support during training sessions and matches
